Title of Research Project: “Tree Planting Intermediary Organizations”
Summary:
Evaluating the transparency of tree planting intermediary organizations (TPIOs) agroforestry projects and determining whether they succeed or fail at delivering the promises of agroforestry.
Cole is a 4th year student double majoring in Agroecology and Environmental Studies. Cole is a transfer student from Cuesta College and chose Agroecology program. Through his coursework in the past year, Cole has developed a strong interest in political ecology and sustainable development food system. Following graduation in Spring 2024, he hopes to pursue postgraduate studies, and is working towards starting a business to help conventional monoculture scheme to a more sustainable, diverse, and localized model.
